Purpose:

To manager the development of electronic circuits and writing of software to control small domestic appliances.To assume responsibility for managing China Engineering Team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Management of the China Appliance Engineering team.
• Design&management of new electronic circuits and the  implementation.
• Management and development of software code to control electronic circuits(and where necessary write code).
• implementation of processes and procedures to  improve design delivery.
• Drafting Appliance specification and veifying performance against them.
• Management pf PCBA supplier to provide electronic solutions to both Strix and our OEMs(including agreeing specifications and negotiating BoM costs)
• Analysis of failed parts and provide solutions to improve rebustness.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Delivery of robust electronic designs by the electronics team meet the necessary quality and approvals required cost.

 DECISION MAKING:

Design and development of electronic circuits to meet project requirements.Implementation of product improvements Sets design guidelines for the electronics team.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

-Degree or equivalent in electronic engineering or related discipline.

-10+years’experience in new product development within a high volume manufacturing industry.

-10+ yesrs’ experience in working in a multi-function team across multiple-sites.

-Abilitu to communicate in both English & Chinese(min CET ideally CET6)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

-Ability to troubleshoot, alalyse problems and implement changes to improve product.

-Ability to ensure compliance of designs to meet EMC protocols

-Proven ability in design of electronic circuits, and in particular control circuils using microcontrollers.

-Demonstrate ability in the use at least one of the PCB layout software tool;Protel/PADs/Cadence tec and lead others.

-Demonstrate ability in programming micro-controllers(NEC/Microchip/Fujitsu for use in control circuits;assembly programming is required.

-The abilbity to clearly document design and provide instructions for ues both in Chinese and English.

- Ability to participate in design reviews(peer reviews)on engineering proposals,and interpret software requirements for design concepts.
