Description: Highly motivated and cross functional engineer knowledgeable in various manufacturing disciplines. Capable of managing programs and their related processes from concept to end of life. Lead suppliers and core team members during factory readiness/audit, tooling and fixture design, oversee production ramp up, developing quality control plan, crisis management and end of life issues. Capable of driving continuous improvement through Six Sigma initiatives including DFMA, Kaizen, DOE, PPAP, APQP, 5S.

Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for supplier engagement from definition phase through implementation.

Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve support to our product teams.

Reviews work of development team.

Easily Keeps project manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager.

Recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.

Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project.

Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule.

Facilitates team and supplier meetings effectively.

Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.

Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, quality control tools. Knowledge of Minitab is a plus.

Strong team builder who is also highly effective in an autonomous role. Up to 50% travel may be required.

Should be considered a subject matter expert in one or more disciplines including die casting, thixo molding, injection molding, glass, touch screen, painting, plating, anodizing, assembly, metal forming, CNC and quality management processes.

Location preferences: Shanghai, Chongqing, Taipei or USA.

Education: BS Engineering, mechanical, materials, industrial engineering, quality
