This is a Shanghai based position from HP LES scanjet operations. The ODM program Lead is part of a team of talented hardware, Firmware and software engineering program engineers. As the focal point for ODM factory quality on current products, the individual needs to lead activities across functional/regional boundaries - ODMs, R&D, Supply chain, customer assurance/TCE, Regions. He or she will be responsible for resolving and communicating on all ODM factory operation issues as well as driving prevention actions for future products. Meanwhile, he or she has capability of coordinating NPI activities by partnering with regional and GBU teams to ensure successful delivery of new products, by leading coordination efforts, delivering product specific specifications and setting quality and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities

- Lead internal/external cross functional issue resolution teams to drive containment, root cause, corrective action, and prevention in the ODM factory.

- Communicate product and process issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.

- Establish & manage ODM failure analysis and engineering capabilities

- Manage factory ME/tooling readiness/issues

- Establish and maintain key cross-functional internal and external relationships

- Coordinates and leads the activities of internal and outsourced development, customer assurance and manufacturing partners from development introduction production through end of lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

- BS degree in an industrial engineering /mechanical engineering/electrical engineering

- 4~6 years of factory experience

- 5+ years of project management and team management experience

Knowledge and Skills- Experience with management of contract manufacturers and suppliers

- Solid experience with manufacturing process, factory test and design validation

- Great leadership skills and ability to inspire team members

- Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills as this position will interface with various HP teams, suppliers, partners and customers. Individual must be able to communicate effectively in Chinese and English

- Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

- Teamwork: the candidate must be able to fit in well with a team, understand capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative environment
