Project Leader for Establishment of New Manufacturing Facility

LaFrance Corp, the leading manufacturer of branding identification products, is seeking to engage an independent consultant to lead and manage the design and build-out of a new manufacturing plant in Southeast China. This is an approximate six-month project, opportunity, starting immediately.

The successful consultant must have direct experience in leading and managing the establishment of manufacturing operations. Specifically, leading and managing: facility design, including power requirements; equipment design and layout; vendor and contractor selection; and management of the facility build out and equipment installation.

The successful candidate will be leading and managing a Team of personnel with various project responsibilities. The new manufacturing operation will be engaging in electroforming, which is similar to an electroplating process. Expertise in electroforming or electroplating is not a requirement for this position.

Experience in China is strongly preferred, including:

· Direct experience in specifying equipment and working with vendors on detailed quotations

· Direct experience in preparing operation layouts and planning facility requirements; and working with contractors on quotations and schedules.

· Direct experience managing new plant build outs including management of contractors

· Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering

· Must speak, read and write in English

The successful candidate will be engaged on an independent contractor basis, the position based in China will be paid in US dollars. We offer excellent compensation.
