Operations Director

  

 

  

To manage all departments in Operations Division focusing on Exhibition Operations, Occupational Health and Safety, Logistic and Freight Forwarding, general Operations Senior, ***&IT Communication , Engineering.

  

 

  

Responsibilities

  

• To ensure that each departments in operations division contributes the agreed budgeted profits.

• Carry out regular, meaningful performance appraisals conducted in such a manner that effective, open, two-way communication is maintained.

• To ensure that subordinates are totally conversant with and implementing all convention and exhibition policies and procedures, both operations division and company.

• To ensure that all financial targets are being achieved, in conjunction with Finance Controller.

• To compile and agree meaningful, achievable budgets through accurate research and application of in-depth knowledge of the convention and exhibition operations.

• To stay "close to the customer" and maintain effective communication with him at all times through a planned programme of formal meetings and entertainment together with other division in convention and exhibition.

• To ensure that complaints or problems are actioned without delay and that effective follow-up action takes place to avoid a recurrence.

• To be aware of current trends in the convention and exhibition operations and make suggestions how these could be implemented for the benefit of the company.

• Work closely with Managing Director, Sales and Marketing Division, also Food and Beverage Division to ensure that realistic achievable proposals are submitted.

• Have knowledge for the successful execution of an assigned number of event in exhibitions and convention.

• Have knowledge to advice about Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services also Safety Marshal.

• Have knowledge to involves all logistic and freight forwarding related issues required of exhibitions & events.

• Understand to manage staff and outsources of Security, Cleaning, Parking, Garden, Pest Control, Water Feature, Florist, Traffic, Consumable Material providers for toilet

• Understand to make sure the smooth running and operations of venue. Facilities by performing a Preventive Maintenance Program.

• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, co-workers and vendors.

• Implementation of all functions of standard operating procedures. 

                                

       

  

Ideal Candidate:

  

• The candidate must have a proven success record of min 5 years working in an international environment and with partners around the world.

• Experience work in Venue Management, Property Management, Facility Manager, and Hospitality as Head of Operations

• Must be available to respond to emergencies when not physically at the job site.

• Ability to work a variety of varying schedules.

• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once. Higher education level related to job
