Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The position reports to the Engineering Manager and would be responsible for the following functions.
- Preparation of basic detailed mechanical engineering design, detailed design of pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, structural to international /GB codes and standards.
- Preparation of sketches for G.A. equipments, fabrication drawings and piping plan, etc.
- Selection of materials and equipment based on RFQ
- Carries out detailed design complying to project specifications, design calculations, detailed drawings, piping isometrics, fabrication details, BOQ and material list with specifications for piping and equipment.
- Draft drawings according to engineering specifications
- Assist in the design and modification of existing products or equipment.
- Design mechanical mechanisms and components
- Perform engineering calculation for mechanical designs
- Design manufacturing and installation draft execution drawings
- Liaises with the Process and Project Engineers to obtain the input or feedback
- Pilot trial test design and management


Skill Set Required

- Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 -15 years proven experience in a similar role in the Water and Wastewater Treatment field.
- Direct hands on working experience and conversant with standards /specifications in the design of Reverse Osmosis and Ion Exchange Plants in the field of oil and power sector
- Good knowledge of equipment used in the water treatment Experience in municipal drinking water, sewage water treatment plants to international standards will be an added advantage.
- Experience in use of 3D plant designs added advantage Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Some business travel in China.
