Job Purpose
The overall purpose for the Regional P&O effectiveness Manager is accountability for the service excellence delivery of the MAS/POE services portfolio to our P&O businesses for the region.
As a member of the global P&O Effectiveness management team and the regional P&O leadership team, this role is also accountable for providing global and regional leadership related to global P&O processes and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the MAS account manager towards regional P&O Segment stakeholders.
Co-partner with regional P&O directors (Co-pilots, Talent, MarsU and Rewards) to influence overall regional P&O Effectiveness.
Lead the regional services team providing regional expert services.
Lead any regionally based global Mars U SSC team providing global, regional and local college shared services.
Drive any regional or country shared service centers towards service excellence and best practice sharing.
Provide global P&O Effectiveness leadership around change initiatives and governance.
Provide the people leadership to the regional teams, securing high engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Drive the P&O Effectiveness strategy and team organization to best meet the needs of P&O in the region.
Context and Scope
1) Champion for P&O Effectiveness in the region:
- drive the P&O Effectiveness strategy for the region
- design and implement structures/processes for an effective P&O standard signature process
- maintain awareness of external benchmark evolution in P&O effectiveness
2) Regional Expert Center Leadership
- Responsible for operations of P&O Expert Centre
- Drives consistent use of global systems, metrics and signature processes within the region
- Owns the regional P&O metrics process and provides meaning and challenge to the leadership team
- Is responsible for operations of regional P&O Expert Centre. This includes:
- Regional expert for personnel admin (CHRIS), Talent (TMS), Recruitment (Taleo), Mars U, Mpower, Gallup
- Regional admin service for Performance Mgt, Talent Development process, Mars University, Gallup
- The provision of expertise and training on all P&O systems
- Regional project management leadership or support
- Line Manages and develops the Expert centre team in an engaging manner
- Establishes a framework for country P&O effectiveness teams to operate in, with a view to optimize administration and data synergies
- Manages transfer of best practices within region and with other P&O Effectiveness communities (global team and other Units).
3) Other
- Contribution to development of global processes and P&O systems initiatives
- Represent P&O and manage priorities in the regional IT governance process
- As member of the Global P&O Effectiveness team, contributes to development of global processes, systems and strategy
- Represent P&O and manage priorities in the regional IT governance process
Relevant Quantitative and Budget Information
Financial Budget (staff) approx .5M USD expected to increase in next 1-3 years
Staff Total span of 5 FTE, expected to increase in next 1-3 years
