I. Position Summary



The position holder is responsible for billing and collection, financial reporting, tax filing and general accounting in Guangzhou.




II. Primary Accountabilities



A) Billing and collection for inbound shipments

B) Reply customer's enquiries for inbound shipments by phone or email

C) Invoice printing for booking agents and credit customers

D) Period end closing preparation

E) Monthly financial reporting

F) Tax declaration and tax related matters

G) Local urgent payment

H) License renewal



In the course of performing the above duties, the position holder should also focus in the following issues:

Improve customer satisfaction through problem solving and answer enquiries
Participate actively in brainstorming sessions with creativity
Provide excellent customer service over the counter and telephone
Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor and communication
Utilize APL's services (equipment, routing) to assist customers
Initiate and promote teamwork, utilize creativity in group sessions
Liaison and communicate with other departments


III. MINIMUM Requirements



A) Bachelor degree holder, preferable in Accounting

B) At least 2 years relevant working experience

C) Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin

D) Good communication skills and able to deal with people at all levels

E) Capable of working independently with limited supervision

F) Good PC skills in Windows/Excel/Word

G) Initiative, responsive and proactive

H) Can work under pressures and tight deadlines
