Role/Responsibilities

· Server Architecture Designing, Providing Server Solutions & Implementation.

· Leading Role in designing & implementation of security baseline standards for Windows2000 & 2003 Servers, IIS, SQL, Linux Systems.

· Providing IT Consulting to Clients for IT Infrastructure Designing, Deployment & Operations Perspective.

· Proven WINTEL platform (Both desktop and server) administration skills with minimum 7 years of experience supporting large enterprise scale infrastructures

· Deep skilled AD and MS Exchange support including but not limited to migration, integration, trust relationship configuration etc.

· Overall responsible for managing and supporting the infrastructure with heterogeneous operating systems, Messaging and databases.

· Responsible for Incident, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management and Release Management in a big infrastructure project.

· Provide advanced/ expert support for a Microsoft Windows based server infrastructure

· Experienced in optimization of the infrastructure and operations (deployment and usage of new tool and process introduction, software tool upgrades)

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and extensive use of Microsoft GPO

· Responsible for resolving all issues at HW and OS level on Microsoft Windows based server farm and operate support tools like WSUS, SCCM etc

· Skilled in system security and hardening, directory migrations, software replication, DNS clusters, failover solutions etc.

· Experienced in Virtualization technologies (VM Ware / HyperV)

· Should be experienced in online migration, VMotion, storage Vmotion and virtual network troubleshooting.

· Working knowledge of Database Technologies (SQL, Oracle) performance optimization, hardening, replication, load balancing and failover configurations.

· Scripting and development skills (Powershell, VBScript)

Knowledge

· Rich Experience & Knowledge of Multiple H/w Models (Dell, IBM, HP, Sun

· Product based knowledge of multiple MS Products.

· Good Networking Knowledge.

· Rich Experience of working on Windows, Linux platforms as System Admin.

· Experience on Security Products & O/S Hardening.

Product/Service Specific Knowledge

· Windows 2000 & 2003.

· Any Flavour of UNIX.

(Preferably Solaris, Linux)

· MSSQL

Process Specific Knowledge

· Certified on IT Specific Process used in the Industry (ITIL, BS7799, Six Sigma etc.)

Skills

· Expert Windows Server skills.

· Expert MS SQL skills.

· Experience of implementation of Storage, Backup Devices & Application like Leagto, Veritas etc.

· Experience on Migration Projects.

· Preferably a MCSE, MCSA.

· Adequate knowledge on Databases. (MSSQL, ORACLE.)
