Role Title: Consultant Specialist
Business: Global Banking & Markets IT
Role Purpose / Description:
? Support Surveillance Applications in Production while complying with all HSBC / GBM Production Support Processes.
? Take part in formal and informal meetings that are part of the support process, such as Incident Reviews, Problem Reviews, Disaster Recovery Preparation, etc.
? Learn about existing and new Surveillance systems, provide cross-training to guidance, and assistance to other team members in terms of technical queries or queries regarding the specifications, product knowledge, or business expectations.
? Write code to monitor the Production estate, automate manual procedures and bring in a culture of automation in managing and supporting Production.
? Comply to all relevant internal instruction and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior.
In addition to the above, the individual is required to work with business and IT stakeholders in HSBC offices worldwide to deliver a reliable Production estate.

? Incident and Problem management
? Be willing to be “on call” at least one Saturday or Sunday in a month
? Capable of working with a worldwide team of IT and business stakeholders
? Good communication skills
? A passion for technology and the capability to pick up new skills as needed to do one’s job
? Knowledge of ELK, Java/python, sql, linux, oracle is desirable
? self-motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and a proven fast learner
? Accountability for innovation delivery – takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution with minimal supervision
? Able to do regional team management taskGood to Have
? Familiarity with modern monitoring techniques – GCP, AWS
? Some knowledge of front end developing REACT, HTLM5 etc.
