Role Title: Senior Consultant SpecialistBusiness: Global Banking & Markets IT Role Purpose / Description The job holder will have to perform the following duties:
? Implement Oracle database environment according to the project requirement and Oracle service pattern offerings, including High Availability and Disaster Recovery options
? Operate and maintain large estate of Oracle environments to ensure security, availability, capacity planning and ever-greening
? Provide technical consultancy and take part in performance tuning, database design, architecture, monitoring, data refreshment and project planning
? Control and manage change / release to ensure quality implementation
? Participate in incident / crisis support to provide speedy recovery of service and the subsequent root cause analysis and the implementation of improvement actions

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Candidate Specifications:
? Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or minimum 5 years related discipline
? Solid experience in performance monitoring / tuning at instance and SQL level
? Extensive hands-on experience in Oracle database administration including installation / configuration / maintenance / monitoring / backup & recovery
? in-depth knowledge in Oracle technology such Real Application Cluster, Dataguard, and Grid Control
? Possess multi-DBMS knowledge, especially on SQLServer is an advantage
? Good knowledge in the Unix/Linux environment and monitoring tools
? Good command of both written and spoken English with the ability to also effectively communicate in Cantonese
? A proactive personality with self-motivation. Good analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skill
? Able to work effectively under pressure
