岗位职责:

Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for patient information release issues, maintain accuracy and completeness of medical records, assure meets clinic’s needs of requesting medical records for patient’s care purpose, and abstracting of diagnosis and procedures. Also assists medical record supervisor in the efficient and effective management of HIM Department consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical and legal requirements of the health care delivery system. Substitutes for other HIM department staffs as needed.
Responsibilities:
? Generates daily report of outpatient and inpatient on a daily basis.
? Reviews daily medical records of discharged patients for record completeness and accuracy. File out the relative forms accordingly.
? Monitors deficient records, follows up with doctor’s offices for deficient operative reports, and compiles deficiency statistics as required.
? Taking request from patients, verifying the patient or the request or identification, release patient’s information according to related policies.
? Re-analyze charts for any remaining incomplete items.
? Collect and analyze patient and institutional data for health care and health related programs
? ICD-10 and ICD-9 relative job
? Any other duties as HIM Supervisor assigned.

任职资格:

Qualifications:
？ College or equivalent degree of medical background.
？ Majored in medical record or health information management preferred.
？ One-year medical record management experience preferred
？ On the job training can be provided to those who meet the educational specifications.
Skills:
? Attention to detail and record keeping, organizational, oral, and written communication skills are required.
? Must have ability to speak, understand and be understood in the English language..
? Knowledge in the use of personal computers is required.
Knowledge:
？ Knowledge of medical procedures, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and disease processes.
