Role Title: Consultant SpecialistBusiness: Global Banking Markets IT Role Purpose / Description The role will have a privilege to work with a talented global tooling team on different technical initiatives that will transform the IT delivery and operation of HSBC Global Banking and Markets IT organization. The initiatives will cover process automation, cloud computing, containerization, monitoring and metrics, IT security, etc.
The day to day job of the role will include
- Engineering, prototyping and evaluating different technical solutions and IT processes
- Automating and streamlining IT Tooling delivery and operations processes
- Provide technical support on tooling platforms which include JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Nexus, TeamCity, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc. to global GBM IT teams
- Provide training and consultancy services to global GBM IT teams on different IT tooling solutions
- Provide Management reporting on various IT activities and tooling usages

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications - 5+ years in IT industry
- Proficient knowledge on Linux, Oracle/Postsgresql Database, Networking, Shell/Python scripting languages
- Knowledge and experience on some of the following technology and products will be an advantage
> Docker
> Puppet, Ansible
> AWS, GCP Cloud platforms
> Python, Java, Clojure, NodeJS
> JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, TeamCity, Jenkins, Nexus
> Grafana, Influxdb, Splunk, ELK, Sensu, Prometheus
- Good Production Support and Operations knowledge
- Good English communication skills (The candidate has to be capable of communicating effectively with native English speakers through phone or VC)
