Role Title: Software Engineer Business: Global Banking & Markets IT Role Purpose / Description
-Provide daily application
Support for DTP/RCS applications working closely with HSBC business teams in HK
and overseas to manage and coordinate the delivery of source data as well as
technical updates for applications.
-Monitor service availability of
all DTP/RCS applications, undertake relevant incident management as well as
work towards continual improvement to existing services
-Provide application and
technical support for Fixed
Income Post Trade
Operation users.
-Act as conduit to external
parties, within and outside of HSBC, for support services including 3rd party
vendors etc.
-Involve in Incident Management, be an owner to applications’
incident, arrange required daily support items, and escalate properly to
different support party. Report on service availability, record and log
incidents in a timely manner, as well as to communicate to IT and user
community.
-Involve in DevOps team no
matter from development, testing, BA, Deployment and Support area to help
project delivery more efficient

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
-Has good IT background
-Experience in one or more arrears of Linux, JAVA and other DB systems.
-Proficiency in verbal and written English communication skills (frequent communication in oral English with other parties will be required).
-Work under pressure.
-Self-motivated and have ability to motivate the team.
-Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution. Able to response to production problem with good sense of judgment between escalation and further investigation.
-Understand and attain technical knowledge from on the job experience.
-Good interpersonal and communication skills. Be pragmatic and flexible with an open minded approach to dealing with teams with differences in terms of geographic location, language and culture and relationship and proximity to the users.
-With experience in GB&M products, application systems production support, Perl. PL/SQ, Control M,, XML and HTML would add advantage.
-Experience with DevOps frameworks
