Role Title: Software EngineerBusiness: Global Banking and Markets IT
Role Purpose / Description
-The role will have a privilege to work with a talented global tooling team on different technical initiatives that will transform the IT delivery and operation of HSBC Global Banking and Markets IT organization. The initiatives may cover process automation, cloud computing, containerization, monitoring and metrics, IT security, etc.
-The day to day job of the role will include
-Engineering, prototyping and evaluating different technical solutions and IT processes
-Automating and streamlining IT Tooling delivery and operations processes
-Provide technical support on tooling platforms which include JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Nexus, TeamCity, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc. to global GBM IT teams
-Provide Management Reports on various IT activities and tooling usages

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
? Knowledge in Linux, Oracle database, Websphere/Tomcat
? Solid working experience in J2EE development with Spring framework
? Must have good knowledge in Object-oriented concepts and SQL development
? Strong commitment/accountability
? Strong communication skill and collaboration with team mates and counter parties
? Able to present ideas effectively in either Mandarin or Cantonese. Good in English.
