We are currently looking for a talented Systems Consultant to be a part of our Sales Team based in Guangzhou. Theposition will be responsible for the presales and technical support of Data Protection products.

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Sales Manager, the Systems Consultant is responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support to the sales representatives and other appropriate members of the sales team.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Travel requirements will vary up to 80% based upon nights spent away from home
- Remote technical support responsibilities may include telephone, documentation, and technical research support. Development of training materials and programs, competitive information, documentation, and presentation materials.
- Technically detailed feedback regarding BakBone and competitive product to the Marketing department.
- Provide documented technical responses to customer and partner requests.
-Work with other departments within BakBone including, but not limited to, technical support and development. Support of the Marketing department at industry trade shows and user groups may be required. The support generally involves providing product demonstrations and presentation for individuals and groups.
- Onsite support may include, but not be limited to:
- BakBone product installation on customer/prospect equipment
- BakBone product demonstration/presentation at customer sites
- Technical training on the implementation and use of BakBone products

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 + years support experience in an open systems environment. Direct responsibility for backup/restore and associated libraries and filers.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed understanding of backup technology and practices including Linux, Unix, Windows, networking, and database environments.
- Sales support experience in distributed environments a preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are critical.
- Must be self-motivated and function independently within the role
- Excellent communication skills in the local language. English skills in reading and writing are required.
