About the role:
- This role shall provide comprehensive leadership and support to the engineering operations and maintenance of BJ Campus.
- To implement the Jones Lang LaSalle best in class practices in engineering operations, maintenance and critical environment management program in BJ Campus
- This role also requires specialist expertise in the engineering operations, maintenance and critical environment management (data centre operation) to support the portfolio of corporate facilities in BJ Campus.
- This role is expected to also support the Campus in managing the performance of a number of E&M maintenance service providers who currently hold contracts with client.

What this job involves:
- Support the senior facility manager to effectively manage all engineering operations, maintenance, and critical environment management. Ensure all procedures, processes, and client requirements are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage a program of inspections for the assigned properties on energy conservation, maintenance practices, utility management, and annual power down testing and risk management procedures.
- Ensure the implementation and management of risk & safety work practices in all accounts to eliminate unnecessary interruption to the clients’ operations.
- Manage a program to enforce a permit-to-work / change control system for all staff and all sub-contractors.
- Provide guidance to FM site teams to ensure predefined emergency escalation procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Manage a program to ensure escalation procedures are in place and observed for incident and problem reporting including advice to site Manager
- Ensure critical operations and sites are identified.
- Support Site Manager in managing any critical or major plant failures.
- Act as point of escalation for any emergency situation to critical environment & related incidents (infrastructure failures, outages).
- Provide guidance to on-site facilities engineers and technicians in maintenance contractor management to ensure planned preventive maintenance activities are carried out and completed in accordance with specifications, local codes, safety practices and timely manner.
- Supervise the works of site engineers and technicians where necessary.
- Work in conjunction with the Training Manager and site manager to ensure the on-site teams are well trained on all facilities policies, procedures and systems.
- Manage a program to drive innovations in achieving efficient engineering operations. Embrace skills development, leadership and succession planning for on-site engineering / technical teams.
- Support due diligence checks and reporting
Sound like you? To apply you will have:
- Substantial and practical knowledge of facilities management, maintenance operations and engineering and risk management and capable of changing them to meet new evolving needs.
- Experience in managing E&M maintenance vendors. Must be results focused and be able to lead the vendors to excel and accomplish these results.
- Relevant working experience in data centre and/or disaster recovery site in banking and/or corporate environment would be an advantage.
- Practical knowledge in common building systems including CRAC, security system and BMS.
- Familiar with local statutory requirements in facilities and engineering operations including occupational safety requirements.
- Ability to analyse complex problems, lead team to identify root cause and generate solutions.
- Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and can work autonomously, as well as in a team environment.
- Proven ability to lead by example with strong influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills – written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing, operating or designing critical environments and have electrical knowledge
- Degree holder in building, mechanical, electrical engineering.
- Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily operation activities using various CMMS and software.
