Responsibilities

• Play key developer and software architect roles, sometimes may play development team lead and project coordinator roles as well
• Write high quality and testable code following clean code and SOLID design principles
• Conduct code reviews
• Create design, technical and project documentation
• Plan and schedule own work for tasks and projects, also implement functionality without direct supervision
• Perform profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions
• Coordinate application deployment
• Follow and understand defined software development process
• Participate in workshops and presentation of proposed solutions to clients
• Communicate with clients on a regular basis to clarify business requirements
• Assist team members with providing with technical solutions
• Work independently while in close collaboration with others in the team and across projects

 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering and development
• Experience developing latency sensitive software
• Proficient in C++ (core language, Templates, C++11) and development in Linux environment
• Proficient in Linux; i.e. shell scripting, process management, multi-threading, operating systems
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills in a high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of application architecture and design
• Open mind and the ability to learn, teach and adapt quickly
• Passion for technology
• Excellent communication skills
• Intermediate (CEFR B1) or higher level of verbal and written English

 

Nice to have

• Experience working with traders and derivatives product knowledge
• Knowledge in Warrants and Listed Options market making, trading strategies to Execution and Inventory optimization solutions
• Deep understanding of real-time exchange trading systems and hands-on development experience in C++
• Exchange links and feed handlers with low latency
• Cross and match engine technology
• Statistical Arbitrage activities
• Multithreading and system processing with intensive use of external third-party components such as Google Protocol Buffers, 29West LBM, Rendezvous, Message Queue, etc.
• Knowledge of Boost Libraries, smart pointers, other usable libraries
• Basic Network programming: TCP, UDP
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering
• Exceptional client relationship skills with a strong customer service-oriented attitude
• Experience in collaborating with team members in different time zones
