Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the FAT of the Next Generation work cell at vendor

2. Lead the SAT, IQ, OQ and PQ of the cell in Guangzhou.

3. Manage the manufacturing process and direct operations staffing

a. Maintain validated process conditions

b. Perform process adjustments within the allowable operating window

c. Ensure all components of the process are working with acceptable parameters and work with maintenance staff as needed to ensure equipment is kept in working order and all PM’s and repairs are done in a timely and correct manner.

d. Monitor, analyze and report on the manufacturing cell performance on daily, weekly and monthly basis using statistical tools.

4. Coordinate with Aptar Auburn on manufacturing schedules and SKU changes to meet customer needs.

5. Coordinate with Aptar Guangzhou purchasing department to ensure adequate supplies of all raw material and packaging supplies.

6. Work effectively with the Sr. Quality Engineer and the quality staff to ensure the quality of the parts produced and shipped meet Aptar’s commitments to the customer.

7. Communicate regularly and effectively with Aptar Auburn management on the status of the manufacturing operation including performance of key metrics (include but not limited to output, scrap levels, any reinspection or rework needed, OEE, maintenance cost, manufacturing costs)

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Science discipline

2. Fluent in written and spoken English

3. 5 or more years of hands on experience in injection molding processing with Scientific or Decoupled Molding expertise and certification as a Master Molder 2 or better.

4. Experience in medical molding under ISO 13485 certification is a plus as is cube molding experience.

5. Two or more years of supervisory experience.

6. Ability to travel to the US and Europe for training for extended periods of time during the first year.

7. Proficiency in math and the use of statistical analytical tools.
