Purpose:

 

• Support portfolio managers by providing insights and analysis for the material category

• Enable data-driven sourcing best-practices and advanced materials costing approaches

   Key Responsibilities:

  Support portfolio managers with data-driven insights per material category

• Create transparency on adidas materials spend across and within material categories

• Build-up and maintain reporting capabilities around materials and continuously enhance transparency around cost drivers, market developments and price implications

• Track raw material market developments and derive implications for categories

• Drive an effective and efficient material price communication tool and/or system (currently PDM and PLM) to ensure accurate material costs are available to stakeholders

• Prepare analysis and reports for seasonal price negotiations

• Prepare and provide input data such as category spend cube and raw material developments for should-be costing tools

• Manage seasonal price submission process

• Own seasonal savings tracking to have transparency on nominal and raw material adjusted savings

• Be informed on costing trends and apply advanced tools to create cost transparency and enhance reporting capabilities, such as Alteryx, Tableau, etc.

  Knowledge, Transferrable Skills and Abilities:

   

• Strong business sense and analytical skills

• Good understanding of costing principles.

• Ability to create, plan and deliver presentations.

• Fluent in English, written and verbal

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

• 3-5+ years Costing experience in footwear manufacturing

• Great skills in MS office applications

• Knowledge of athletic footwear industry preferred but not required
