Role Summary/Purpose

GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.An RF Coil Engineer learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in RF Engineering, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The RF coil Engineer is responsible for designing and developing detailed electrical designs for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Radio Frequency (MRI RF) coils product/ subsystem release solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

Design and develop detailed electrical designs for MRI RF coils from initiation (prototype development) to full product release, applying design tools as appropriate (including final image collection, validation, and analysis with considerations of image reconstruction algorithms). Design and develop coil specific software interface definitions to enable and integrate coils with the various MR system platforms. Develop and document verification and validation testing of new product introduction coils, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and customer critical criteria for new coil deliverables. Lead new coil engineering design processes through all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support Provide engineering support for existing product lines

Qualifications/Requirements

1. MS in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Medical Physics.2. One year of experience as RF Engineer, Research Assistant, or Graduate Assistant. This one year must include some experience with Radio Frequency Coil, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Matlab, Medical Imaging, MR Coil Design, and image Reconstruction Algorithms.3. Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems4. Skilled in using OSC, VNA tools and EM simulation SW
