Role Title: Senior Software Engineer
Business: Payments & GLCM

Role Purpose / Description

 

The role of the Java Software Engineer is to work within GLCM IT team for development with various Services of RMS (Receivable Management System).

In this role, you will:  

?Responsible for performing development work for RMS.

?Ensure that systems are implemented in accordance with IT standards, under DevOps and Agile principle.

?Maintain close communication with other IT teams and coordinate IT-related stakeholder activities.

?Investigate and resolve problems arising in connection with IT services

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

?University-level degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.  Qualification in related business discipline is an advantage.

?You have a curious mindset, with a desire to learn

?You’re a self-starter who is motivated, outgoing, organized, and a clear communicator

?You’re comfortable working in a team environment

?You are able to work under pressure with challenging timelines

?You have a passion for continuous improvement

?You’re passionate about quality; writing clean and production-level code is second nature

?You want to experience development at scale on a global stage

?Knowledge and experience in development and deployment tools like Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, GitHUB, Maven.

?Exposure to all stages of the software development process, from design, development, testing, through to implementation.

?Experience in the domain of banking would be an advantage.

?Good understanding of business requirements and able to provide solutions to customers promptly.

?Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written English, and good command of spoken English would be an advantage.
