Position:  Senior Software Engineer

Team name:  Global Insurance Technology Guangzhou

Job Duties:

The job holder will have to perform the following duties in Insurance applications support:

? Perform problem management including

1. Understand the problem/issue

2. Investigate the case

3. Find out the root cause

4. Figure out the solution to fix the problem/issue

5. Perform the testing on the fixing

6. Conduct the production release for the fixing.

7. Comfort the users and provide a satisfied service

? Adopt and provide ongoing improvement on support process and promote usage of right tooling.

? Work closely with the development team to ensure efficient flow of the backlog of production problems

? Provide support to the solution architect to ensure that solutions and services are supported by the right architectures & systems.

? Provide end to end service management to business, including the project release, production support and FF support.

Candidate Specifications:

? Minimum 5+ years’ experience of system production support and release management.

? Excellent communication skill, problem solving skill and experience in the process of HSBC IT support.

? Experience in Digital and vendor product management will be an advantage

? Knowledge in Cloud, Micro service/API will be an advantage

? Knowledge in Insurance business areas will be advantage? Solid experience on automated build, CI/CD tooling to accelerate DevOps change in the team

? Ability to work independently and think out of the box.

? The passion and ability to manage/motivate the users/peers/teams.

? Excel written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and influence technical

? Willing to travel with mobility on project base.
