JOB SUMMARY:
Active player for activities involved in the research, design, planning, development and/or evaluation of new and advanced technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design. Involves the application of scientific and technical knowledge and methods for understanding the physical criteria of glass products and processes.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinate/facilitate all research and development activities involved in the creation of new products which includes planning, design, testing, application, problem resolution and frequent communication with EuroKera Chateau Thierry R&D and Marketing/Product Departments.
Estimate the development costs, consumer interest and market potential for innovative product designs and applications using glass ceramics
Coordinate new project activities with sales department to discuss product and customer specifications, translate industry standards into product requirements and to document all technical information for internal and external use.
Coordinate multiple projects that involve the application of one or more technologies based upon ceramic, electric, thermal, chemical or mechanical properties especially with the knowledge transfer and qualifications approved for implementation by EK France laboratory.
Provide technical guidance, failure analysis tests, and product experiments involved in the production of finished goods or in the resolution of customer inquiries or complaints.

Demonstrate real pedagogic skills, and ability to adjust his technical communication level to specific attendance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
4 Year Technical Degree
Minimum of 5 years in Manufacturing
Technical Specialized Knowledge in Glass and Ceramics (Major in Mechanics or Chemical also acceptable)
Good command of English (oral and written), speaking French is appreciated
