ITID (Information Technology Infrastructure Delivery)
Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, ITID implements and manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical to day-to-day operations for HSBC customer and user IT services, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved quickly to provide optimum levels of service with sufficient capacity, resilience and security. The division provides optimized and cost efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases in support of the services that are delivered from its data centers over both voice and data networks to desktops and other end-user devices throughout our business.
ITID CRE Portfolio is responsible for delivering IT fit-out projects to support a variety of Corporate Real Estate initiatives: New Site Commissioning, Office Decommission / Site Closure, Office Refurbishment, Office Expansion, Site Consolidation, Relocation, etc, across HSBC facilities. HSBC facilities may cover the following: Head Offices, Global Service Centres, Call Centres, Branches, Data Centres, Universities, HSBC Technology, etc.
IT fit-out may involve provisioning of:
· Desktop, Laptop, VDI, HWS, Managed Print Service, Self-Service Terminal (e.g. ATM), Mobility Service
· WAN Link, Network Switch, Wi-Fi, Telephony (IP Phone, Voice Recording), Call Centre, Video Conferencing & AV
We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our team as Project Manager.
Principle Responsibilities
As Project Manager in the ITID Change the Bank programme, the role holder will provide direct oversight of the programme(s)/ project(s)’, financial and outcome accountability, reporting to a Portfolio Manager within ITID. In executing this role, the Project Manager will need to:
- Lead the IT Infrastructure Delivery (ITID) elements of small/medium, Corporate Real Estate (CRE) building projects. Or, to line in to a Senior IT Project Manager for larger, more complex projects.- Lead a project team often comprising of members from across the Global Business / Global Functions to achieve the defined business goal.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders and partners, ranging from Senior Executives to Engineers and external Third Parties.- Comply with HSBC and ITID PPM financial governance and processes for portfolio and project management, including tracking project actuals and maintaining the project forecast in the relevant tools on a monthly basis.
- Identify, investigate and actively manage variances to budgets, adhering to relevant change control processes.- Manage resourcing requirements and associated tracking of cost and effort.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- PMP, Prince2, Agile PSM1(Ideal but Not Essential)
- Good project management skills and experience of managing small/medium projects.
- Good people manager and experience in managing a team and different work streams.
- Multiple examples of the delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated outcomes.
- Preferred experience of working in a banking environment and on IT projects.
- Good stakeholder management experience, good communication and project governance.
- Implementation, change management and benefits realisation.
- Good level of understanding of general financial terms and concepts, including: Cash and P&L.
- Experience of financial management, including forecasting and tracking of actuals.
