Acct Tech Strategist
Are you interested in being part of the most exciting transformation occurring at Microsoft? The Global Account Technology Strategist is a virtual Chief Technology Officer for our customers and engages with customer business and IT decision makers to strategize on how Microsoft can enable them to achieve their IT and business goals. You will be leading the technical partnership with four large global customers helping align Microsoft’s capabilities to accelerate their digital transformation. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual in the Shanghai area. You will lead the strategy and execution in driving the customer to the cloud including remediation of customer blockers to adoption of MS solutions.



As Global Account Technology Strategist, you will be responsible for defining, documenting, and executing a technology and cloud consumption strategy to achieve short-term objectives while planning for long-term growth, achieving joint business objectives and working with a global team who proactively propose solutions that address our customers’ highest priorities. A strong team atmosphere, locally and internationally, must be fostered and nurtured, with a spirit of collaboration and shared vision.



Key Accountabilities for the position include:

• Building Trusted Relationships with customer Decision Makers, including their Chief Technology and Information Officers, and CxO decision makers within the customer’s business units.

• Sharing your broad knowledge of the Microsoft Platform, our competition, and the industry to create a vision of how Microsoft can be the customer’s best partner to take their business towards Digital Transformation.

• Gathering and sharing broad insights about customers and the IT Technology landscape with your Microsoft colleagues.

• Demonstrating technical leadership by working with your team and Microsoft resources to leverage Microsoft Cloud Technologies to drive Customer Digital Transformations.

• Gain and maintain a strong understanding of the complete customer business model, strategies and pressures

• Promote the long-term growth of Microsoft through the adoption and sustained usage of our cloud solutions by customers.



Requirements of the position include:

• Broad knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise Platform and ability to map relevant Microsoft Technologies to the customers’ IT and Business needs and priorities.

• In-depth knowledge of customers’ Technology and business e***ironments.

• Ability to build long-term Trusted Technology Relationships that result in solid and meaningful Strategic Technology co***ersations.

• Ability to ensure that customers benefit from the latest Microsoft Innovations and Solutions.

• Focus on long-term, sustainable Growth, Digital transformation and ensuring the competitive landscape is addressed.



Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Must have verified excellence in navigating Microsoft for the benefit of the customer with a demonstrated ability to think and act “outside of the box”. A proven track record of developing and managing CXO relationships and consistently exceeding quota expectations. Comfortable interfacing at all levels, while possessing knowledge of the business challenges and opportunities driven by technology, mergers, and industry trends. A minimum of 8 + years related experience in a relevant e***ironment is required with an emphasis on large, complex, global accounts. Experience working as part of a global team and landing emerging technologies and cloud solutions to meet customers’ needs as well as familiarity with Microsoft’s strategy and product lines is critically important. Candidates must be able to think strategically, master technical concepts and work effectively in a dynamic and entrepreneurial e***ironment. Experience leveraging, and managing partners is an important factor for success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred with a Masters degree a plus. Must be able to travel internationally.
