The Quality & Design Manager is mainly in charge of Quality Department, especially on EM products, such as home appliance, digital items like TV, computer accessories, computers, etc.

In addition, he/she will also lead the Product & Packaging Design team in Guangzhou Office.

GENERAL MISSION:
Base on Auchan Ethic Rules, the Quality & Design Manager is responsible for the coordination between the different actors of the supply-chain: Auchan commercial, Quality Department and Design Department at origin, Quality Department and Design Department at Villeneuve d'Ascq, quality inspection companies, forwarders, carriers, design agencies in China.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Quality:
The Quality & Design Manager is responsible for the good quality of the items produced by the suppliers, in compliance with the standard defined at the order stage. He manages the quality team of the GZ office for EM products. He is supervising the orders managed by the business unit from GZ office.

The main tasks are:
§ Monitoring the planning of workload of the engineers in coordination with the commercial team
§ Follow-up of the activity of the engineers
§ Control of the respect of the rules: controls based on the application of the norms defined by quality department in Villeneuve d'Ascq
§ Validation of the pending cases
§ Communication with his pair in Villeneuve d'Ascq
§ Management of the inspection companies: negotiation, follow-up, cost analysis, efficiency
§ Ensure a strong collaboration and alignment of the methodology with the quality team of GZ office.

Constantly keep under-control the activity of the engineers, monitor their workload and the relationship with the inspection companies. Establish a constructive link with the quality director in Villeneuve d'Ascq, work in order to continuously improve the efficiency of the quality department.

? Design:
§ Ensure the coherence of design activities within global sourcing organization
§ He controls the proper application of existing graphic chart. For product line where there is no graphic rule or incomplete ones, he pilots the definition and implementation of new ones
§ He manages the pool of design's service providers (artworks, photo, etc.): Negotiation, follow-up, cost analysis, efficiency
§ He supports, manages and animates his team: regular formal meeting and individual meeting as soon as required, depending on the missions of the team-member, his professionalism and the projects
§ He follows and analyses the performance of his team (quality, quantity, punctuality)

? Management:
The Quality & Design Manager is member of the DOAPI China codir, so involved in the main decisions. He is in charge of the animation of his team:

The main tasks are:
§ Animation of the team: regular formal meeting, on a weekly basis, individual meeting as soon as required, depending on the missions of the team-member, his professionalism and the projects
§ Coordination with the other services: the good collaboration with the commercial teams, finance and HR services is a pillar of the function
§ Coordination with the Operation manager in GZ office
§ Coordination with the quality, design and logistic team in Villeneuve d'Ascq
§ Communication

TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
§ Education Background:
- Degree: Bachelor degree or above
- Major: Engineering / International Trade / Design

§ Minimum Experience:
- 10 years relative experience, including minimum 3 years experience in international trading company and 5 years managerial experience

§ Language:
- Good spoken and written English
- French appreciated
- Other European language (Spanish, Italia, Russian...) is a plus

§ Computer Skills:
- Efficient with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint & Visio)
- Creative Suite is a plus
