职位描述
Main Purpose of the job:
As leader of the POP team, should be capable leading the team to ensure all projects run smoothly, and train or empower the Project Operation Managers act as the interface of program manager and manufacturing plant. Set up team objectives according to company target, manage the cost and expense control within the team. As team leader, He/she need to lead a small team, manage the builds, support verification & approval (V&A), and manage ramp-up of each project. From operational point of view, contribute to program development success, ramp up smoothness, and delivery fulfilment.
Essential responsibilities (please list down quantified and/or qualified measure after each responsibility)
Essential tasks and areas of responsibility, temporary positions
Set up team with relevant function according to project, train & review team member's performance according to LOM System. Review and update the organization periodically to ensure the team meet customer and operation requirement.
Make sure each POP members have such capabilities to run the project:
In Project creation (PC) phase
1. Build management
Responsible for build on time delivery (OTD). Lead Project Engineer (PE) and build team, and plan/execute build operations according to program master plan. Solve operational issues, highlight technical problems to Engineering Manager (EM) and escalate high risk to GPM.
2. V&A management
Responsible for lead-time control. Plan V&A activities in manufacturing plant and reserve needed resources: machine, accessories, material and manpower. Support Tooling PM (TPM)/Assembly Solutions PM (ASPM) on V&A activities in manufacturing plant.
3. Ramp-up management
Responsible for ramp-up on time. Plan and execute ramp-up in manufacturing plant and reserve needed resources: machine, accessories, material, and manpower for ramp-up. Monitor the progress of each process. Solve operational issues, highlight technical problems to Engineering Manager (EM) and escalate high risk to GPM
4. Cost control
Responsible for new project development cost control in manufacturing plant: machine occupation, manpower usage and material consumption.
5. Information management
Organize the resources from manufacturing plant, join weekly program meeting, manage and follow up the action plan. Bridge the information sharing between program and manufacturing plant.
In Product delivery (PD) phase
1. Change management
Responsible for right information in system. Manage engineering change and bill of material (BOM) maintenance in manufacturing plant.
2. Delivery management
Monitor and support manufacturing plant for product delivery. Coordinate different processes to make sure delivery on time, with good quality.
3. Continuous improvement and cost control
Drive process owners to continuously improve each process, to achieve quoted/internally agreed level in terms of PPH and yield. Support manufacturing plant and program manager in cost reduction.
4. Information management
Summarize manufacturing plant level project information and provide to GPM: min/max report, risk report, etc. Update cost model/cost breakdown (CBD) on quarterly basis.
5. End of life (EOL) management
Manage project EOL and provide EOL report for customer negotiation. Monitor purchasing and production activities in EOL stage, and contain EOL at minimal level.
6. Coordinate engineering support
Coordinate engineering resources to support manufacturing plant when necessary.
Special contact requirements related to the job
Familiar with visual metals is preferred
Job requirements:
1. Education and experience
Bachelor degree in engineering field.
Minimum 6 years experience in mechanical field, consumer electronics preferred.
Preferably 2 years experience as Project leader or Project Manager.
2. Personal Skills
Good communication skills
Adequate execution capability
Strong problem solving skills
Self motivation and pressure resistance
Team player
Leadership, capable of motivating other people to perform.
Fluent English in writing and speaking
