职位描述

职责

本职位主要负责该大学在中国华南区的项目,并向该大学国际项目和服务中心的执行理事汇报,作为高级管理人员监督该大学在中国开展的项目和方案。本职位代表该大学,与其他中国的合作大学维护并发展双方间正在进行的合作项目。本职位需要拓展新商机,建立新的合作关系,并根据当地教育需求和该大学的发展需要协助发展和执行新的项目。
1. 监督广州办公室及其日常运作;
2. 负责招生工作:增加合作大学入读的学生数量;
3. 项目发展和管理,根据执行理事的指示,对指定地区的项目进行日常管理,包括建立和维持合作关系,协助发展、营销,监督当地项目的进行并确定战略和营销方案,以完成收入目标;
4、项目支持和服务:
(1)协助部门网站报道的撰写、编辑和更新;
(2)进行中英双语的书面翻译和口译;
(3)对旨在中国及美国进行研究、教学或服务的,对该大学的教员、职工及学生进行来访的人员提供后勤保障;
(4)把最新程序、计划及时通知合作伙伴并保持双方间有效的合作关系;
(5)担任该大学教员或职工的跨文化顾问及该大学中国项目的资源中心。

要求:
1、本科以上学历,商务管理或教育专业,或工商管理硕士及海外留学或工作经历优先;
2、3至5年的工作经验并在快速成长的环境下至少2年的工作经验,拥有高等教育行业或跨国服务行业的工作经验优先,曾独立从事综合性管理并熟悉与来自不同文化的人员共事。
3、能在高压环境下工作并能保持创造性、积极性和提供多种解决方案;
4、注重细节、能处理多层面的复杂关系、积极主动、认真负责、勇于承担责任、逻辑思维清晰、学历能力强;
5、具备敏锐的市场洞察力和突出的市场拓展能力及业务公关能力;
6、具备良好的沟通能力、人际交往能力、统筹安排能力,能进行员工聘请、训练和监督;
7、能以英语为工作语言,且英文口语流利;
8、具有较强的文字功底,熟练掌握办公软件,如Word, Excel, PPT等。


A subsidiary located in Guangzhou invested by a reputable US university would like to hire a manager to run its Guangzhou office.


Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is responsible for The University programs for the south region of China. This position reports to the Executive Director of the International Program and Service (IPS) of the University, acts as the Managing Officer to oversee the programs and initiatives of the University in China. This position serves as the representative of the University for China to sustain relationships and to further develop on-going joint programs with Chinese university partners. This position identifies new opportunities, establishes new partnerships, and assists the University to develop and implement new programs to meet the local educational needs and growth of the University.

1.Oversee the Guangzhou office and its daily operation
2.Student recruitment- increase the number of Chinese students studying at the University partner universities
3.Program Development and administration, under the direction of the Executive Director, providing day-to-day management for the University Program in designated regions, including building and maintaining partner

relationship, assisting in developing, marketing, and overseeing local programs and identifying strategies and marketing plans to achieve revenue goals
4.Program support and services -
a. Assisting with write-ups, editing, and updating the department website
b. Translating/interpreting from English to Chinese and vice versa as needed
c. Providing logistical support for visiting the University faculty, staff,and students in pursuit of research,teaching, and service goals in China and the United States
d. Keeping university’ partners informed of new procedures & planning and maintaining effective collaboration
e. Serving as a cross-cultural advisor to the University faculty/staff and a central resource for the University Program in China.


Requirements:
-Obtained Bachelor Degree(s) or above,majoring in business management and education,

MBA degree and overseas studyingor working experience preferred.
- 3-5 years’ work experience and at least 2 years on senior management position in fast-paced growth environment, preferably in higher education industries or cross-border service industry. Had independently handled overall management and experienced work with people from

different culture.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record in team leadership and management
- Previous experience in service team training and system building.
- Can work under pressure and remain creative, solutions-oriented and self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage complex multifaceted organization, initiative, sense of responsibility, willing to take responsibility, clear logical thinking, good learning skills.
- Sharp market insights and outstanding ability in market developing and communication
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills,

able to hire, train and monitor staff.
- Capable of using English at work, including speaking and writing.
- Sound skills in writing; familiar with MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PPT.
