Role Purpose
The focus of this role is to assist the Production Engineer and Buyer to set up Hand Dryer production in our expanding facility. After the setup, the role will focus on ensuring that production meets all requirements – scheduling, quality etc. The Production Engineer will also work on projects to make production more efficient and effective.
Role Details
Hours: Full Time
Base: Guangzhou, with some national travel
Reports to: The Production Engineer (Hand Dryers)

Accountabilities
In consultation with the Production Engineer (Hand Dryers) to:
- Assist with production abnormal processing, analysis and provide temporary solutions, make long-term countermeasures
- 协助生产线的异常情况处理，分析并提供临时解决方案，制定长期解决方案
- Assist with the develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures, process mapping, improving product flow, Work Instructions and Control Plans for each part of the line. Ensure that the production line is achieving the required production levels with the goal of zero defects
- 协助制定和实施标准的操作流程，流程图，改进产品流程，作业指导书和控制计划。确保生产线达到所要求的生产水平与零缺陷的目标
- Assist with the develop and implement Risk Assessments and other Health & Safety processes, eg COSHH, LEV in accordance with the Airdri H&S Handbook

- Assist with Developing and implementing effective maintenance programs. Understand challenges in production and coach the team to come up with solutions to make production more effective

- Prove, operate and test a range of equipment and tooling, training others as needed证明，操作和测试一系列的设备和工具，根据需要培训其他人

- Follow up the project stage progress from new project introduction to mass production，跟进项目物料样品的承认以及新项目生产的进度。
- Verify the artworks / drawings with R&D / or customers and work with suppliers for the new part DFMA and parts qualifications.

- Engage in new raw materials selected for a prototype part according to its design and application.

- Participated in new parts sourcing and qualify vendors via VA/VE as 2rd sources for proposal cost saving and supply risk management.

- Working with SCM & SQE & Buyer to conduct monthly regular supplier on site audits and review supplier performance.

Knowledge & experience:
1. A degree in Production Engineering desirable, electrical and mechanical knowledge desirable

2. Familiar with sheet metal, moulding manufacturing process, as well as the analysis and improvement of tooling abnormalities

3 A relevant quality qualification desirable, maintain quality through all processes and embed quality activities (5S, 8D etc) in the workforce 熟悉5S, 8D 等程序
4 An understanding of Lean Production desirable
