Job Responsibilities:
1. Maintain positive relationship with head of buying, buyers, and stylists to
(1) understand new product trend, customers’ markets, and customers’ needs and be able to interpret to suppliers into product solutions for customers;
(2) obtain and understand the quality and compliance standards and work with Quality manager to implement the standards;
(3) manage future demand, planning /forecasting with customers to drive growth opportunities.
2. Manage and coach the team of merchandisers to
(1) develop new product proposal in line with buyers’ requirements and market trends;
(2) organize buying trips with well preparation of quotations and samples;
(3) assist with prices/leadtime/MOQ/claims negotiations with suppliers;
(4) ensure on-time delivery of development samples and shipments of orders.
3. Maintain and ensure supplier strategies in line with specific needs of key accounts and Herma’s objectives, prepare benchmarking exercise regularly to ensure Herma obtains the best values of products, and scout new suppliers in new geographic regions in Asia.
4. Take lead to resolve critical issues and/or claims between buyer and supplier. Make commercial decision together with QC Manager on issues prior to shipments.
Job Requirements:
1. Strong customer service mindset and customer relationship management experience
2. Strong customer market and fashion trend understanding
3. Good business insight and marketing sense
4. Solid experience on Living Products especially on Ceramic. Home Textiles is an advantage.
5. With team spirit and be a team player. Strong sense of priorities, urgency, and responsibilities
6. Strong leadership and coaching for subordinates
