Role Title: Senior Consultant Specialist

Business: Global Banking & Markets IT

Role Purpose / Description

Contribute in successful delivery of projects by providing technical / application guidance to project teams. Senior Specialist can provide

guidance to multiple project teams. The responsibilities entail areas such as

- Feasibility Study: Participate in feasibility study

- Participate in estimation and Requirement analysis. Assist in development/evolution of estimation templates

- Provide guidance and suggestions on, fine tuning the performance of application, provide technical consultancy to project teams.

- Promote usage of right tools, explore the possibilities of effective and flexible tools and develop components / tools for it

- Design & Coding: Develop / review the technical design. Primarily Guide and mentor team. Develop code is required

- Reviews: Conduct review of design/code/test plan, test results and deployment as per plan. Work on automating the reviews.

- Suggest and validate best practices across the SDLC and assist in implementing them along with standards

- Communicate with the relevant stake holder regarding resolving technical issues related to delivery of projects

- Conducing Technical training and mentoring and knowledge sharing. . Identify potential Specialist from the teams

- Create and implement reuse charter for the projects supported. Promote the usage of repositories

- Update with future technology / application trends, collaborate with Architect / Project teams and provide feedback.

- Customer Facing: Actively consult and communicate customers

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

- University graduate with degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline

- At least 8 years’ experience in IT with solid knowledge on application development and support. With strong hands-on coding skills. Will be required to do the coding and provide guidance to the junior developers.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English

- Solid knowledge and working experience in web technologies, Unix, Database Server (Oracle, SQL), Websphere Application Server, Java and J2EE or equivalent technology knowledge

- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

- Able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines

- Team player, with strong emphasis on knowledge sharing and collaboration working altitude

- Having Flex, HTML5 or latest technology working experience or Agile project/Devops experience is advantaged.

- Experience in running development project, driving development processes and quality assurance
