We provide comprehensive immigration services for short and long-term international assignments, permanent transfers and the local hire of foreign workers.
The China Shanghai office is currently seeking experienced business immigration consultant to provide support to the Consultant teams. Our Consultant Function as the liaisons between the Fragomen Consultant team and the Client and are responsible for the quality of the team’s work and ensuring deadlines are met. Fragomen values candidates who have pursued their interest in a legal career through corporate, civic, political or government internships and international study abroad experiences and urges them to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Working on visa applications as assigned;
- Preparing work authorization application documents, visa application forms, liaising with clients to coordinate for the collection of - - relevant supporting documents, following-up progress with the immigration authority and providing clients with regular update on application status;
- Provide advice to clients on Chinese immigration rules and regulations;
- Assisting managers in preparing for and managing visa applications;
- Leadership: training and supervising assistant consultants and filing clerks in providing visa application services (including reviewing forms and documents prepared by assistant consultant);
- Billing: reviewing files for completeness before bill preparation;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- BS or BA degree required;
- Possesses strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas is preferred;
- Candidates having experience working in law firms, HR departments or hospitality industry may also be given strong consideration;
- Proficient English communication skills, both spoken and written;
- Superior problem solving skills;
- Demonstrates high level of productivity and attention to detail;
- Multitasks in a fast-paced environment with competing demands;
- Demonstrated ability to focus on client service;
- Provides high level of client service ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Possesses excellent communication skills;
- Takes initiative to identify priorities and seek guidance, if needed;
- Manages caseload with a large degree of independence;
- Demonstrates flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team;
- Contributes to positive work environment;
- Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience with Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint desired.
