Job Summary:
I work with colleagues across Tesco, our suppliers and stakeholders to identify and manage responsible sourcing risks and develop and support the implementation of solutions
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing high quality analysis, identifying priority issues and providing recommendations, enabling Tesco to manage reputational and supply risk by focussing resources
- Developing and presenting the business case for responsible sourcing solutions & improvement processes to drive effective internal and external buy in
- Building strong relationships and being the 'go to' person for RS across the relevant business area(s)
- Managing relationships with external stakeholders and developing sector-wide solutions where appropriate
- Developing the right communication and training materials to support successful implementation and long term sustainability of solutions developed
- Managing and driving the successful implementation of improvement projects in collaboration with commercial and technical colleagues so that responsible sourcing is efficiently imbedded within these teams
Requirements:
- At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in responsible sourcing, with 3-4 years experiences in management role, and preferably in MNC
- Knowledge about ethical standards, manufacturing and ethical trading practices
- Experienced in managing complex business change or projects will be an advantage
- An audit qualification (ISO 9000 / SA 8000) would be a definite asset
- Strong analytical, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Able to travel frequently
