- This is a rare opportunity to join an exciting fast fashion online retailer launching in the China market, working on the range from scratch. Our Client is seeking a high calibre ladies wear pattern maker to join their new Shenzhen offices.

- You will need a good understanding of commercial garment construction - Strong technical knowledge and experience in pattern cutting, across multi product types.

- A good knowledge and experience of pattern cutting, fit and manufacturing processes. Exceptional creative and technical skills, detail oriented with the ability to produce commercial garments.

- Systems use - Proficient on a computerized pattern making system Lectra. You will be able to produce accurate patterns using the computerized system and have the ability to export and import patterns between suppliers.

- Size specifications - Good understanding of size specification and knowledge of grading. A working knowledge of how size specs work and an understanding of how garments are graded.

- Work closely with design and buying teams to review and interpret the design sketches

- Develop the core basic blocks for the entire range, ensuring it's the right fit for the target market

- Create initial sample patterns to ensure all patterns are a great fit and will require minimal adjustments

- Managing sample grading

- Checking the accuracy of the sample pattern

- Create and maintain pattern library

- Make sure that the sample garment is maintaining the look and style of the original design

- Modify sample garments and patterns to meet cost specifications and manufacturing limitations, contend to manufacturing issues in relation to different pattern

- Once the sample pattern is reviewed and approved for production, ensure that the pattern is clearly marked and briefed to designated factory

- Excellent computer skills required

- Ensure the Lectra CAD system is regularly maintained and backed up.

- Excellent communication skills

- Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English

- Min experience 8 years

- Ideally with exposure to both international and China markets preferred.
