Report to: Assistant General Manager, Operations for Hainan
Summary:

The scope of responsibilities will include management of the stock to ensure smooth, accurate, timely processing and distribution of all incoming and outgoing merchandise, assist in floor moves, actioning prices change notifications (PCN's) and coordinating and running stock takes.

Main Responsibilities:

Location Merchandise Management

- Manage the acceptance and verification of all incoming merchandise ensuring that all stock is checked in accordance with DFS standard procedures and any discrepancies are actioned;

- Control write offs, damaged and markdown stock to ensure that accurate documentation is complete and the process is followed;

- Ensure that appropriate levels of GWPs and PWPs are in stock for monthly promotions at all times;

- Ensure most optimal space management;

- Liaise with Inventory control team to ensure stock takes are completed efficiently and accurately;

- Manage the process of reverse logistics when necessary;

- Complete internal reports and participate in audit initiatives as relevant.

Team Management

- Lead and inspire the relevant product support team including partnering with the partner's teams;

- Participate in recruitment, performance appraisal and learning and development initiatives as applicable for the relevant team.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Management or Business;

- At least 3 years of experience in merchandising, product or logistics management role;

- Inventory management experience is preferred;

- Experience of working in retail or service related industry is preferred;

- Fluent in Mandarin; fluency in English will be a plus;

- Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail; solution based, energetic, team oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently;

- Strong computer skills required - Excel, Word and Outlook.

Hainan DFS Retail Company Limited is the subsidiary of DFS Hong Kong Limited, a wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) registered in Haikou city, Hainan province. In 2005, DFS signed off a contact with Hainan Meilan International Airport (HMIA) for operating and managing all the retail facilities in the existing and new extension domestic passenger terminal. We took over six grocery shops from HMA as of March 15, 2005 and renovated the stores one by one. Now we have three different types of stores in the airport, i.e. grocery, luxury and lease shops.
