The British School of Guangzhou is looking for an Events & Community Officer to join the Marketing and Admissions Team to support school external and internal events. If you are a team player with a desire to work in a busy top tier international school, this would be a perfect role for you.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Support of external and internal school events. These will include Admissions related visits and leaflet drops.
- Ensure the school has a planned charity and event strategy that supports Marketing and Admissions within the school.
- Liaise with the school’s catering company and staff to reflect on and improve catering within the school. This includes daily lunch menus, coffee shop services and incidental catering used throughout the school each week.
- Work to enhance displays and campus appearance throughout the school’s shared areas.
- Mange the appearance of all reception areas, including ppt presentations.
- Assist with producing and managing publications, social media posts and website articles, including Head’s Bulletins, Newsletters and yearbook.
- Assist with photography when required (including full management of photo week)
- Establish effective relationships with parent groups within the school attending and helping to coordinate meetings. Ability to work with external parent groups such as GWIC is an advantage.

We prefer you are someone with:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher education background in relevant major
- 3-5 years project management experiences in a multi-culture foreign company
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Computer literate with an ability/desire to learn and grow (Photoshop, PowerPoint, Outlook, excel, word essential).
- Native or near native ability for both spoken & written English (note computer literacy and English ability will be examined during interviews).
- Flexibility to work within a seasonably busy team environment
- Knowledge of the British education system and/or international schooling is desirable.
