POSITION SUMMARY:

The TCM Doctor is responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) interventions in order to meet the comprehensive needs of Patients and provide quality services that are designed to Prevent, Improve, Restore, and Sustain overall health and wellness. The TCM Doctor develops and implements TCM programs in collaboration with the Rehab Physician overseeing the rehab plan of care. The focus of TCM rehab is to restore balance and harmony within the body stimulating the body’s natural curative powers for healing and health.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Develops and implements TCM programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each Patient in collaboration with the healthcare team, including the Rehab Physician, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Rehab Therapists.
2. Ensures complete and comprehensive assessments and treatment plans including utilization of appropriate tests and measures, interpretation of examination findings to identify impairments and establish goals, determination of the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it, and identification of precautions/contraindications to ensure Patient safety.
3. Prescribes individualized TCM interventions including but not limited to acupuncture, massage, moxibustion, needling, knife/blade techniques, joint mobilizations, herbal medicine, and physical agent modalities.

4. Ensures the standard of TCM services being delivered adheres to quality care delivery standards.
5. Collaborates with rehab team to ensure appropriate delivery of services to optimize clinical outcomes.

6. Maintains appropriate and timely documentation and billing of services being provided.

7. Adapts TCM program and/or plan of care according to the needs of individual Patient.

8. Identifies and reports any changes in Patient status including changes in health, function and/or daily activities to responsible Physician and/or healthcare team.
9. Instructs and educates Patients, families, and/or other caregivers in the skills, methods, and techniques of the TCM program.
10. Actively participates in care plan meetings to review Patient goals and status, and facilitate appropriate discharge planning.
11. Attends employee meetings as required.

12. Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment or for additional resources, as necessary.

13. Enhances professional practice by attending all mandated training and outside professional education programs.
14. Contributes to an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the concerns of Patients, employees and families.
15. Promotes a culture of safety to ensure a healthy practice and living environment.
16. Maintains confidentiality and protects Protected Health Information at all times.
17. Ensures compliance with company policies, standards and practices, and local and central government regulations.
18. Places Patient Service First: Ensures that Patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a friendly, caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the Patients individual needs, goals and desires.
19. Performs other related duties as requested.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Graduate of an approved school of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
2. He/she must be able to practice as a TCM Doctor in the Province and district of the People’s Republic of China.

1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Mandarin.

2. Must have knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, TCM herbs, normal age-related changes, infection control, and proper body mechanics.
3. Must have strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

4. Must be able to work proficiently in a fast paced, health care environment.

5. Must possess the ability to positively interact with others, including Patients, families, employees, visitors, government agency personnel and the general public.

6. Must market the center, company, community, and its services to all Patients, visitors, vendors, referral sources, and fellow employees.

7. Must be a highly responsible individual capable of working independently.

8. Must be empathetic and adept in dealing with individuals of all ages and families.

9. Must be able to recognize and practice high-quality hospitality, professionalism and customer service to create a customer centered environment.
10. Must have basic computer knowledge and skill.
11. Must carry out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention and/or participation may be required. 举报 分享
