We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this dedicated team in the role of Sr. Consultant Specialist.

GB&M is an emerging markets-led and financing-focused business that provides tailored financial solutions to major government, corporate and institutional clients worldwide. This role sits within the GDIS organization and focuses on BIG Data platforms.
As an active member of the BIG Data DevOps organisation, ensure the smooth operation of BIG Data Services and Environments (prod and non-prod). Management of Incidents and Problems. Overseeing the automated deployment of change (or carrying out manual steps if required). Through automation streamline existing operational processes. Ensure that MI is generated and reported on in line with the rest of the group.

Job Duties:
- The delivery of several BIG Data Services across GB&M
- Incident / Problem Management
- Request Resolution
- Automation of code deployments and end to end environment and deployment pipelines
- Automation of Service Management processes (including MI)
- Release and Deployment Management
- Change Management
- Working with on-shore and off-shore teams
- The imminent introduction of a new BIG Data platform
- Working within a recently formed global team in a fast paced environment
- The formation of a DevOps organisation

Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Other Service Management disciplines

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Linux
- Ability to identify processes suitable for automation / streamlining
- Ability to work with a project team in multiple locations around the world
- Self motivated individual who is enthusiastic and has proven fast learning capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements
- Proactive approach to identifying issues, presenting solutions and options

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Exposure to BIG Data Technologies
- Shell scripting
- Exposure to BIG Data Technologies
- Shell scripting
- Some knowledge of Hadoop
- Ansible
- GIT / RTC
- Hortonworks 2.4 (YARN, Hive, Encryptions zones, HBase)
- Kerberos
- Jira / Jenkins
- Understanding of core BIG Data concepts
- A dynamic scripting language (Eg. Python / Ruby)
- Experience working within a Production Support / Operations Team
- ITIL V3

Additional Information
Must be available for weekend work / on-call support if required as part of the role.
