GENERAL MISSION
The merchandiser is responsible for Sourcing to orders follow-up of a product line under constant control and assistance of Product Manager and with close cooperation with the buyer. The Merchandiser is in charge of :
-Keeps a constant watch on his area potential and opportunities. Identifies the right sourcing answers to
buyers’ needs.
-Monitors and develops Auchan suppliers basis.
-Manages offers providing the right answers to buyer's requests within relevant time frame.
-Contributes to optimize buyers’ trips schedule and supports them during negotiation
-follows-up the orders from selection confirmation till delivery, anticipating and solving issues within
imparted deadlines.
?Organizes shipments with logistics teams to ensure on time delivery to countries, checks the accuracy of
supplier’s export documents (China only).

COMMUNICATION
-Ensure that suppliers sent the documentation.
-Coordinate suppliers and customers during all issues related to sample process and order follow-up.
-Coordinate inspection company or laboratory concerning quality issues.
-Coordinate logistic company for shipment issues.
-Work with his team and support departments with team spirit and service oriented mind to achieve common goals
-Communicate constantly and timely with the buyer and the product manager.
All the activities should be on the basis of Auchan ethic rules.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Knowledge:
Knowledge of international trade
Knowledge of computer tools
Fluent English both in spoken & written
