Brand Manager
Reporting to Marketing Director
Subordinates: 0~3 people
Work Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities
Brand Plan Development
-work with suppliers, Summergate Sales Management and Managing Partners to develop the annual brand activity plans for each brand, including:-Market context and share objectives
-Activities by brand, channel, area and period summary calendar that identifies all key activities throughout the plan year-Depletion forecasts and A&P budgets
Brand Plan Implementation and Evaluations
-Ensure successful implementation of planned brand activities by
-Presenting the brand plan details in full to Summergate Sales Management and Teams on tim
-Providing all necessary briefing documents and proposals to ensure proper downstream communications and implementation
-Ensure that all materials necessary for the brand programs are available well in advance, and properly distributed-Prepare evaluations of all brand activities-results vs. plan objectives, efficiency of spend, and internal/external feedback
Budgets
-Manage the budgeting and implementation process, including;
-Confirm all planned budgets with both suppliers and Summergate Management on time
-Coordinate with suppliers for prompt payment of all A&P funds in advance of in-market expenditures-Manage actual spend within plan, and in line with quarterly plan updates-Provide necessary invoices and documentation for suppliers
Supplier Coordination
-work closely with suppliers to ensure the following;
-Clear communication and engagement on each annual brand plan, and on-going supplier "PR" on Summergate activities
-Supplier A&P contributions are made on time and in full,according to the agreed brand plan
-Suppliers are supporting brand activities with relevant design and POS materials-Reasonable and relevant requests for information from suppliers are satisfied in a sensible timeframe
Prepare reports and analysis,and provide information to senior management and suppliers,including
-Annual brand plans and Annual reports-Quarterly and annual performance evaluations-Individual brand activity briefs,proposals,and evaluations-Quarterly brand status reports (copied in part to Supplier)
Requirements
-Bachelor degree or above, business related major, MBA preferred
-Above 5 years working experience in the marketing function, FMCG industry preferred; Fortune 500 company experience preferred; strategic marketing or product marketing experience
-Must have working experience in China market
-Good framework of marketing including, strategic positioning, go-to-market process, marketing communication, advertising...
-Strategic thinking and good communicator with the different stakeholders,in and outside of the company
-People person and good coordination and liaison skills, people management and project (event) management skills preferred
-Responsible, reliable, result-oriented; initiative and self-starter and needs minimum supervision
-Bilingual: proficiency in Chinese and English
-Good command of MS office suite, especially, WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint
