PT Equipment Technical Expert supporting regulatory testing application process
? The PT Technical Expert will contribute to obtaining the CFDA license of the IBA PT Equipment in China by providing technical expertise to the team in charge of achieving that purpose. He will be a full member of the CFDA team under the leadership of the Project Manager. His expertise is mostly needed in the field of electrical equipment (IEC).
To achieve these goals, the PT Technical Expert will:
? Understand local and international technical regulations involved in the CFDA application process, assess how they apply to the IBA PT Equipment, and assess the gap between those regulations and the IBA PT Equipment.
? Provide technical support to the IBA regulatory officer who is the main point of contact with the local authorities like CFDA, CMDE, BIMT. In that context he will sometime be required to engage directly with those local authorities.
? Set up testing plans with the local regulatory authorities and further support the execution of these tests on PT sites and or on lab prototypes.
? Review test reports as well as any other set of data and/or technical study that needs to be submitted in the context of the CFDA application process.
To be successful in the PT Technical Expert role, the ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
? Have a strong technical expertise and experience with the IBA PT Equipment (ideally a Site Technical Leader background or an R&D Engineer background)
? Have a good general expertise in electrical equipment (IEC)
? Understanding of international electrical standards is a plus
? Be an analytical person able to understand data, review and generate complex technical reports
? Proficient in English (written & spoken).
? Understanding Chinese would be a significant plus
