1. Top Level Goals

a. Understand Jabil's business model for BU's current and future requirements in the region.

b. Identify supply chain requirements to enable the business model to be executed profitably and contribute this to Regional Custom Mechanical Strategy.

2. Supplier Development

a. Work with SCM colleagues to develop 'super low cost' supplier clusters to provide the platform for Jabil Circuit BU operations in low cost regions and markets.

b. Prepare and execute supplier contracts and development programs to maximise spend and leverage with strategic suppliers.

c. Identify, engage and build enduring business relationships with suppliers who share Jabil's Virtual Vertical Model and install and execute Jabil + Virtual Supply Partner > Competitor philosophy.

d. Develop regional supply chain in line with Custom Mechanical Strategy and future BU requirements.

3. Strategy and Execution

a. Take the lead role in sourcing decisions. Liaise with MQA and NPI to ensure that suppliers who are key to our strategy are awarded appropriate business.

b. With SCM colleagues, develop and implement Material Optimisation Programs, (consignment, VMI, etc) to maximise Jabil's cash to cash and ROI.

c. Consult with BU's to increase strategic spend and maximise MPV.

d. Identify genuine competitor spend and develop alternative supply solutions. Liaise with Cost engineers to prove financial benefits of alternative solution.

e. Sell the benefits of alternative solutions to internal and external customers.

f. Carry out Competitor Analysis to identify areas of weakness, waste and customer dissatisfaction. Feed into Regional Custom Mechanical Strategy so that alternative value propositions can be developed and implemented

g. Ensure overall supply capacity availability to meet customer plan

h. Represents the procurement team within workcell in interfacing with customer for metal supply issue.

i. Support new business quotes by modelling part price and driving suppliers to best possible pricing available in the market

j. Able to track and monitor raw material market intelligence. Provide in-depth analysis to management team regularly for strategy and decision making.

4. Cost Management

a. Work with Cost Engineers, Mechanical MQA to develop a collaborative estimating and quotes process with strategic suppliers

b. Work with suppliers to maintain competitiveness.

c. Work with SCPM to identify operational cost reduction opportunities. Analyse spend for strategic and leverage cost reduction opportunities. Prepare, and execute cost reduction strategy including supplier negotiation, spend consolidation and supplier reduction.

d. Act as an escalation point for metal supply issues, support workcells with specialist knowledge and guidance as required.

5. Qualifications

a Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

b 5+ years working in technical functions in metal stamping or machining with well knowledge in product design processes

c Knowledge of mechanical design tools, ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Engineering software experience is a must.

d Familiar with supply chain management practices, concepts and terminology

e Very deep understanding about metal stamping cost models, able to analyze and justify supplier quotes.

f Good understanding of ISO9001/TS16949 and familiar with advanced quality tools.

g Good English communication, writing skills.

6. Travel request

a Periodic travel to customer, vendor and/or Jabil sites is required - Anticipated amount of travel to be 30%

b International travel needs from time to time
