Job Description : Sourcing Manager

The Sourcing Specialist/manager is required to implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the assigned portfolio and associated activities. An important aspect of this role is maximizing supplier performance and supporting Transcends business plan to develop a highly efficient supplier base and sourcing mechanism. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for working with key vendors, Softlines Merchandising and Product Development to increase share growth.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
? Providing domestic and global product sourcing expertise to the team and utilizing a skill set that includes sourcing strategy development, vendor identification/evaluation and negotiation, order placement and production management
? Strong fabric, trim and production process knowledge to aid the sourcing process for providing raw material and/or finished goods sourcing support.
? Efficient and highly organized time bound performance in accordance with sampling/development and production timelines.
? Documents performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects.
? Proactive coordination with Supplier Quality Assessment teams. Identifying and raising callouts within due time to avoid delays at production stage.
? Implements plans to assure orders meet specified quality and delivery times and to minimize the total cost of purchases. (costing and negotiations)
? Establishes supplier base in conformance with guidance from Category Managers.
? Handles requests for information, quotations, proposals, and cost negotiation processes.
? Evaluates current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams.
? Negotiates with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
? Executes contract negotiations and development in coordination with Merchandising Manager
? Works with Sourcing Manager or Sourcing Leader to guarantee supply for all portfolios.
? Establishes and maintains rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers.
? Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies.
? Other relevant duties as assigned or required in the due course of employment.


Qualifications
Master’s or bachelor’s degree/ 5-9 years’ experience in fields of fabric/trim sourcing, supply chain, production, or manufacturing.
? Bachelor's degree in relevant area required (Procurement, Product Development, Merchandising, Manufacturing)
? Minimum 5+ years of experience in product sourcing specially/ specifically Trims, Accessories both domestically and globally
? Must have successful track record sourcing apparel products core and novelty fabrics and trims and understand the marketplace trends/dynamics
? Must be aware of Inspiration/ Mood Board/ Fashion Trends and be passionate about apparels
? Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies for raw materials and finished products
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Proactive thinker and problem solver
? Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
? Computer proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
? Advanced excel skills including ability to utilize pivot tables and v-look ups
