Job Title Trade Services Settlement Clerk - Guangzhou
Reporting Line(s) Officer of TSO
Subordinates ( if applicable) None
Essential purpose of the function
Responsible for the settlement under import and export bills for trade finance business lines.
Main Responsibilities
- To independently execute on the payment systems (SWIFT) and to book in the core-banking system all trade finance related settlement and financing:
? payment/financing under export L/C
? payment/financing under export bills on collection basis
? payment under L/C discounting/negotiation/forfeiting
- To independently process the proper approval and reporting into the different local authority system (SAFE, PBOC, CBRC)
- To apply the AML policy and the management of the alerts
- To independently process the proper internal reporting
- To maintain an accurate register of trade finance settlement
- To independently perform periodic “Permanent Supervision”
- To independently perform settlement related account balance reconciliation
- To assist officer of the department to complete other irregular tasks assigned by the department head
Main required skills
- Autonomy, reliability, cautious and efficiency
- Good PC skills of Microsoft Office
- Proactive behavior to continuously improve the quality of service and the extension of the range of services
- Good team player
- Accurate knowledge in the Chinese regulation, rules and practices
- Basic knowledge on trade finance operation and accounting
- Experience in T/T remittance or payment would be preferred.

- Participation in a growing team in the context of the Trade Finance Network creation inChina
- Handling a growing range of trade services in the context of the Business lines progressive startup in branches of China
Candidate Profile
Academic Background (degree and major)
University Degree or above, majoring in International Trade or International Finance
Working Experience / Technical Skills & Know how
At least 1 year banking experience
Skills & Competencies
Accurate knowledge on the local regulation, basic knowledge on bank accounting and trade finance operation
Language Skills
College English Band Six or above
Computer Skill
Good command of Microsoft Office Software
Others if any (require to travel, etc)
Willing to work overtime
