Responsibilities
1.Ensure that all existing and potential factories are technically and ethically audited and approved in line with Tesco's policies
2.Implement Tesco quality systems of every stage of production
3.Evaluate and ensure that production meets approved sealed standards
4.Instruct suppliers on AQL and Tesco's required factory standards
5.Ensure that product inspection files contain all accurate information for inspection
6.Communicate potential factory issues relating to production to Garment Technologist or Technical Manager (e.g. quality issues, factory non-conformance)
7.Provide periodic reports on status of inspection, production failures and compliance to Technical Manager
8.Escalate any technical issues that arise during pre-production meetings
9.Release shipments where appropriate

Requirement:
10.5 years or more experience in the garment or textile industry, preferable in buying office;
11.Graduate in garment manufacturing or textile technology;
12.Knowledge of garments, garment manufacturing and technology;
13.Ability to make and correct patterns and improve fit;
14.Good communication skills
15.Experience in working with buyers and technical personnel both face to face and by video conference/conference call
16.Experience in factory operations, assessments and inspection processes;
17.Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin;
18.IT skills, proficient in MS office

Tesco Sourcing is the sourcing operation of Tesco, for F&F Clothing and General Merchandise products. With our main office in Hong Kong, we operate through hubs in 7 countries and have more than 500 colleagues working with us across Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Europe.
