The Partner Account Manager (PAM) for the LARs (Large Account Resellers) partner audience is a critical leadership role within the partner ecosystem at Microsoft. The LARs are extremely important to Microsoft as they drive considerable enterprise licensing and solutions revenue. This is a highly strategic role leading the planning and the successful growth of a set of LARs. Given Microsoft’s immediate focus on “cloud services” the candidate will also need to be a major change agent, have impact and influence with a high degree of autonomy, energy, flexibility and the drive to create real and measurable business results.
The PAM LAR role focuses on the following 5 key responsibilities:
Responsible for driving and executing business strategy and programs across segments
The LAR/ESA (Enterprise Software Advisor) PAM must be knowledgeable across a variety of disciplines and is responsible for communicating and localizing Microsoft’s Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners (SMS&P) and Enterprise Product Group (EPG) strategy.
The role must possess a solid understanding of enterprise customer purchasing behaviors as well as other vendors within the Microsoft ecosystem.
The PAM is the key single point of contact for executive communication.
The role is also responsible for identifying trends (opportunities/threats) within their partner community
Qualifications:
- 5 - 8 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Self motivated
- Strong business/commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
- Results oriented and good decision making skills
- Good communicator at senior levels internally and externally (and proven impact at these levels)
