Evangelism Management - China Time Zone Lead For The Windows Azure Platform
Cloud Computing is the next step toward ubiquitous and pervasive computing for the world. The Windows Azure Platform is Microsoft’s strategic focus and our leading Platform-As-A-Service offering. Join the worldwide Azure ISV team in the Server & Tools organization in recruiting key ISVs to develop their applications on our cloud platform.
The Server & Tools team is looking for a Time Zone Lead for China who demonstrates exceptional leadership and management skills with a combination of business development and technical expertise. As a regional leader of the Azure ISV team, you will be responsible for driving your team to identify and close Azure ISV opportunities in your coverage area by working side by side with the local DPE team. You will guide your team to work closely with the broader Microsoft sales teams to engage our ISV partners, top sites, and Azure-ready SI partners. You and your team will help partners build out their Azure practice by providing leadership to our sales organizations in identifying customer opportunities that will leverage the cloud and bringing Azure applications into production.
In this role, you would be responsible for:
- Recruiting, hiring, and retaining strong talent to build out your team
- Managing a high performing team and driving deployment of high quality Azure applications
- Ongoing evangelism of the full Windows Azure Platform (Windows Azure, SQL Azure, and AppFabric)
- Exceptional opportunity pipeline management with accurate forecasting represented at bi-weekly pipeline reviews
- Creating Azure opportunity development plans compatible with overall Microsoft account management strategies
- Deeply understanding the Microsoft field model and ensuring synchronization with multiple field and partner teams
- Accurately representing your region at executive business reviews
- Delivering ongoing market and competitive insights to the business group
- Developing a comprehensive training and readiness plan for your team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Enterprise business development, software consulting or development
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise IT solutions and Internet services
- Exceptional leadership skills and community building
- Proven record of growing new businesses and building technical relationships with senior executives
- Results driven; strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication
- Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and follow through
- BS/BA degree, MBA preferred
The location for this position will be in China and will require significant travel (50%). This individual will need to demonstrate success in developing growth strategies and transforming them into execution. This position also involves a large amount of exposure to senior management and requires the ability to communicate concisely and consistently
