Purpose:
This role will work closely with suppliers and buying teams in order to ensure that sourcing, ordering, shipment and new product development processes are of the highest quality and to also ensure that the right product is delivered for the right price at the right time.

Key accountabilities:
· Efficient management of buying trips, so that 100% of red seal samples are available for the buying trip.
· On time delivery of Buy Trip Pack contents to Assistant Merchandiser
· On time communication of the buying brief to the suppliers
· Monitor performance of the Assistant Merchandiser in order to deliver 100% on time launch
· Monitor supplier performance and provide inputs to the Annual Suppliers Scorecard
· Use Tesco's escalation process to communicate all exceptions
· Follow up samples and monitor approval at all different stages
· Adhere to Tesco's prescribed testing and auditing policies to ensure products & suppliers meet Tesco standards
· 100% of products are sampled as per the Buying Briefs

Requirements:
· Graduate with at least 5 years relevant experience
· Must have worked with international teams
· Fluent verbal and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential
· Attention to detail and organisation skills
· Time management, responsiveness and ability to deal with suppliers
· Demonstration of positive influencing and negotiation skills is preferable
