Responsibilities
? Identify trends and key suppliers for new collections – By attending Asia fairs
? Work on some in-house design briefs – Propose new designs (OEMs) that will fit into US Trend fair findings
? Travelling to visit new and existing suppliers in China and other Asian Fairs
? Develop all new OEM product development projects in-house developments and external designer’s projects and manage each project through to completion by specific deadline - Briefing.Supplier Placement.Sample Ordering.Sample Reviewing and Sample Sign Off
? Communicate accurate, clear and detailed drawing briefs to CAD drawers and Product Engineering’s
? Coordinate proper documentation of all development projects – Sample Report, Sample Review Reports, Engineering Changes, Product Specification Sheets, Technical Drawings
? Troubleshoot development issues by working with, design and manufacturing to find cost-effective and time critical solutions
? Sourcing new material and hardware possibilities
? Collate and manage samples for Photo-shoots and organise up and coming launches with named Designers
? Propose a new Strategy for Assembly Instructions Process
? Liase with QC manager to set Exacting quality standards
? Build collaboration with US design and China Product development team
Main Requirements
? 5 to 10 years of experience in furniture development
? Strong experience in industrial design and an ability to specify, design, develop and manage Home products.
? Great organisational and planning skills.
? Fluent in computer drawing software (AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop)
? Ability to grow the catalogue fast to achieve a best-in-class selection of products based on quality and competitiveness on the market. 举报 分享
